RFSPACE, Inc.が新型SDR受信機を発表
SOUTHGATE Amateur Radio Clubのニュースによると、米国のRFSPACE, Inc.が、新型のソフトウェア・ラジオ（パーソナルコンピュータのソフトウェアで復調を行う受信機）である「SDR-IQ」を2007年1月より発売するそうです。
RFSPACE, Inc.の商品紹介ページによると、この受信機は、500Hz～30MHzを1Hzステップで受信可能だそうで、受信できるモードはAM、WFM、USB、LSB、N-FM、DSB、CWになるそうです。
また、主な特徴は、
Smallest SDR with RF DSP™ that samples the whole HF band at once and performs the initial filtering at 67 MHz sample rate with 23 bit accuracy. Uses a high performance Analog Devices 14 bit analog to digital converter.
Sends 16 bits of I/Q Data to the PC via USB. No messy soundcard cables required.
SDR-IQ is USB powered. No power supply is required. Works great with laptops running on batteries.

と言う事で、気になるお値段は、本体基板（のみ）とソフトウェアで$449（約53000円）、筐体格納済み本体とソフトウェアで$499（約59000円）となるそうです。

＃FT-1000などの外部受信機出力からの入力で、広帯域のスペクトラムスコープとして使えると言う所が興味深いですよね。また、将来的にもさまざまな機能拡張が予定されているようです。しかし、長い目で見ると、無線機のソフトウェア化と言う流れは、ますます進んで行くのでしょうか。
